>>> World Cup: Vietnam and Lebanon Tied After First Match

After a goalless draw in an exciting first playoff match, we saw another draw between Vietnam and Lebanon. This time the final result was 1-1, and because Vietnam was officially a visitor in this match, they progressed through to the World Cup on an away-goal rule. As a disclaimer, both matches were played in the same, neutral, venue.

Just like in the first duel between these two teams, once again we could have witnessed a high-paced match with ample goal-scoring opportunities.

Thai Son Nam player Chau Doan Phat scored a crucial goal for Vietnam in the second half, with less than four minutes left on the clock.

Soon afterward, Lebanon managed to find an equalizing goal through a powerplay situation and thanks to an effort by Ali Tneich. However, they were unable to find the second one and Vietnam qualified on an away-goal rule.

In the other playoff duel, Thailand only confirmed their victory against Iraq. After an initial 7-2 win, Thailand celebrated a 4-0 confirmation which booked them a place in the Futsal World Cup.

Kritsada scored two goals for Thailand, with Muhammed and Jetsada joining him on the scoresheet in the second half, confirming Thailand's dominant display in two matches against Iraq.

An interesting fact about this match... 1.3 million viewers have seen the match via live stream on the official YouTube channel of the Thailand FA. Highly impressive.
