First time in the 19 years of the UEFA Futsal Champions League/UEFA Futsal CUP and in 36 years, if we include Futsal European Clubs Championship, two Spanish clubs will play in the competition's finals!
After defeating Russian representatives in the Friday's semi-finals, EL Pozo Murcia and Barcelona will face each other and play for the European title. The match is scheduled for 20:00 (CET) in Barcelona's Palau Blaugrana.

This will be Barca's fourth finals and if they win a third title (previous titles in 2012 and 2014). Murcia has played one final so far (2008) and lost against Viz-Sinara from Yekaterinburg after the penalties. Therefore, they hope for the first international title.
Barcelona and ElPozo aren't playing only for the European title. Since they both lost in Spanish league quarterfinals, they have to win the tournament if they want to participate in the next year's edition!

Barcelona and ElPozo have one of the biggest rivalries not just in Spain, but in the world as well. Barcelona has won four national titles and 13 domestic cups and El Pozo has 5 national titles and 12 cups.
Barcelona won the 2019 title by defeating ElPozo 3-2 in best-of-five in the league finals. Last season, Barcelona won all three matches: 4:3 in Super Cup in September 2019, 2:1 in a home match of Spanish League and 3:2 in Spanish Cup semi-finals in March (before the lockdown).
"I see familiar rivals. They have had some changes in the pivot position, but we are not going to be surprised at this point. The matches we've played against them have always been even. We are expecting the same team, very combative, with a lot of spirit and a lot of belief. It's going to be a difficult game for us. We know each other well. There are going to be a few surprises. I am not going to tell my opponent my strengths.", said Andreu Plaza for the Uefa.com.
Murcia is waiting for a trophy since 2017 when they won Copa del Rey and last major title since 2010 when they won their last (fifth) national championship.
"We must believe again that it is possible. We have to start strongly and go with our intensity until the last moment. We must be disciplined. We need to play more finals to understand these kinds of games. They are superior in this respect. If they have a good day, they beat you. And if they don't, they can beat you too.", said Diego Guistozzi.
Third-place match
In 16:00 (CET) Russian tams KPRF and Tyumen will play the third-place match. KPRF is current Russian champion and has defeated Tyumen in all five matches last season.
