In the second round of Italian Serie A, four out of seven matches were played on Friday and Saturday. After they lost in the first round against Saviatesta Mantova, Italian champion Italservice Pesaro played a draw (2:2) in an away match against Feldi Eboli.
Saviatesta Mantova defeated Meta Catania (3:1) and jumped to the top of the table. The match got a nickname "Croatian Derby" since Mantova has six Croatians (Ante Daničić, Luka Suton, Mirko Hrkač, Blago Gašpar, Marko Kuraja and coach Frane Despotović), and Catania two of them (Josip Suton and Kristian Čekol).
