Spanish LNFS Round 6 recap and more

Another incomplete round of Spanish National Futsal League (LNFS) has come to a close this weekend. Nevertheless, it offered us another weekend of great futsal!

Three matches were postponed due to the Covid-19 reasons: Levante - Jaen, O'Parrulo Ferrol - ElPozo Murcia and Valdepeñas - Barcelona

First match of the week was between Osasuna Magna and CD Burela FS which ended in a 3-3 draw in a very tight and close match that could have gone either way.

Real Betis went to play away against Santa Coloma. Hosts took the lead at the start of the second half, but persistent Betis managed to turn things around and scored a winning goal in dying seconds of the match.

Next in line were Cordoba and Palma Futsal. Palma Futsal still undefeated this season, while Cordoba are struggling a bit at the moment but one should not forget their victory over European champions Barcelona. Cordoba took the lead in the first half, but few minutes before half-time Palma Futsal managed to equalize.

Immediately after the start of second half - Palma Futsal took the lead! However, ten minutes later Cordoba equalized and both teams had to be pleased with a draw.

Playoff hopefuls Zaragoza were looking for a win at home against Antequera who are one of the teams that played all six matches of the season. However, Antequera are struggling with their form and currently find themselves at 16th place.

Zaragoza had no trouble this weekend and managed to secure a comfortabe 5-1 victory against Antequera.

Match of the weekend in Spain was the clash between Inter Movistar and Peñíscola in Madrid. Peñíscola took the lead in the first half, but Inter's Morales Barbado managed to equalize before half time. It was Inter who then took the lead with a goal by Pito, but few minutes before full time, Tuli equalized and bagged a point for visiting Peñíscola. Both teams find themselves within striking distance from current table leaders Levante.

In last match of the weekend we saw a clash between Cartagena and Navarra. Navarra took the lead in first half, but only so Cartagena could equalize before half-time. Navarra then scored another goal in the second half and chase was on. Cartagena managed to equalize in last 40 seconds of the match to secure a point from this hard match.
