Spanish LNFS Round 7 recap, highlights and more

Spanish futsal continues to march forward despite number of games being postponed again due to Covid-19. In Round 7 of the LNFS, three matches were postponed for some better times: Jaen - O'Parullo, Real Betis - Levante and Palma Futsal - Inter Movistar.

Nevertheless, we saw plenty action on the court and some amazing performances like Cartagena's goalkeeper Oliver scoring a hat-trick and keeping a clean sheet in the process!

>>> Jimbee Cartagena's goalkeeper scores a hat-trick!

Jimbee Cartagena took advantage of such a terrific performance and cruised over Cordoba with a big 6-0 win. As mentioned, Oliver scored three goals in the match, Croatian international Dario Marinović scored two more, while the scoring was opened in a first place by Carrillo.

This victory sees Cartagena push deeper into playoff spots.

This year's Futsal Champions League's finalists ElPozo Murcia managed to secure an important win on an away match at Ribera Navarra (2-3).

Hosts took the lead in the 18th minute, but immediately after Murcia equalized with a goal by Marcel. Murcia's Salas Cholo and dos Santos scored two goals at the start of the second half, and Navarra could only soften the blow with a goal in the 33rd minute, but couldn't equalize by full time.

Still winless European champions Barcelona welcomed Zaragoza this weekend at Palau Blaugrana. Barcelona took the early leed thanks to an effort by Ferrao. Zaragoza immediately bounced back with a goal by Rojas.

Second half was almost a copy of the first half, as Ferrao scored in the opening minutes of the second half, and Rojas equalized later on after a dubious penalty kick. Nevertheless, Barcelona remained winless in this year's campaign.

Round 7 of the LNFS gave us a great match-up between two teams in playoff spots. Peniscola welcomed Valdepenas and made sure that three points stay at their home court (3-1).

Peniscola took the lead in 12th minute thanks to goal by Torres. Valdepenas managed to equalize at the dying seconds of the first half with goal by Nano. Unfortunately to them that was everything they could muster up for this weekend.

One more goal by Torres and Rahali made sure that points remain at Peniscola as they brushed Valdepenas aside with a nice 3-1 win and climbed to the third position in the championship.

We witnessed a very dramatic match in a draw between Antequera and Osasuna (4-4). With three goals in the space of first 8 minutes of the match, visiting Osasuna took the lead. Antequera managed to score one goal to try to get back into the game but just before the half-time, visiting Osasuna scored the fourth goal.

Things looked bad at the time for Antequera, but with fantastic performance in the second half they managed to score three goals as the full time was approaching and secure a very big point in the end.

Last match of the Round 7 of the LNFS in this recap was another draw between Burela and Santa Coloma. Both teams find themselves at the middle of the table and are looking for a push to the playoffs. Visiting Santa Coloma took an early 2-0 lead and managed to stay ahead until half-time.

In the second half, we could see much more of Burela. They scored in the 30th minute, only to fall back two goals behind immediately after. But, futsal is such a great sport that one should never think it is over before the referee blows his whistle.

In the last two minutes of the game, Burela managed to score two goals and tie the match, thus ending in a 3-3 draw.

In adition to this quick recap, we bring you the official LNFS best plays, goals and goalkeeper saves of round 7! Enjoy futsal fans!
