The only remaining match-up in the Round of 16 of the Brazilian futsal playoff was the one between Atlântico (11th) and Pato (4th). Their match-up was postponed couple of times due to Covid-19 reasons, but two clubs finally played their first leg of the match-up and Atlântico won 5-4!
Atlântico tried to take advantage of playing at home and had more possesion of the ball and took initiative. However, it was Pato's Perin who opened the scoring on the match.
Nevertheless, after more of Atlântico pressure, Barbosinha equalized the match before half-time and both teams had to settle with 1-1 on half-time.
In second half we saw a much more attacking mentality from both teams that resulted in many opportunities and goals.
Thiaguinho brought another lead to visiting Pato after they took advantage of having more players on the court.
Then, a big shock for Pato. Atlântico turned around the whole result and had a substantial lead at one point. Dill scored two goals, Silva and Barbosinha added one more, and Atlântico had the lead, 5-2!
By the end of the match Pato soften the blow with goals by Mazetto and Perin, but had no more time to equalize the match.
The next match between the teams takes place on Monday (17:00 local time). Atlântico could progress to the next round if they hold out to a draw. Pato, on the other hand, needs to win in the normal time to take the match to overtime.
