Magnus one step closer to the LNF final

Sorocaba's Magnus Futsal is very close to its fourth appearance in the Brazilian LNF final, having lifted the trophy on one occasion (2014). Last night, visting Magnus won against Tubarão with a big 6-0 result in the first semi-final match of the playoff. Due to the pandemic reasons, both teams are not playing in their home courts.

Match was pretty much one-sided as Magnus scored five goals in the first half, three of which came in the opnening five minutes, thanks to the efforts by Lino, Charuto, Alisson, Danilo Baron and Leozinho.

In the second half, Tubarão showed more pace and desire, but it was definitely not enough to even come close to an upset. By the end of the match, Magnus' Ricardinho scored the sixth goal for his team and sealed Tubarão's faith in this duel.

Return leg, which will decide who will progress to the final of the LNF will be played this Sunday (11:00 local time).

Second semi-final pair is still unknown. Joinville secured their place there, but they are still waiting for their opponent between Carlos Barbosa and Super Cup winners Corinthians. First match between these two teams in the quarterfinal finished with a 2-2 draw. Later today (16:00 local time), they will decide which team goes to play Joinville in the semi-final (first match on Sunday, 13:15 local time).
