RUSSIA: Yugra and Tyumen in Russian Cup Finals!

Gazprom Yugra Yugorsk and Tyumen will play in the Russian Cup finals of the 2020/21 season!

Despite a loss against Sinara Yekaterinburg (4:5), Yugra qualified for the finals because of the convincing 5:1 win in the first leg.

Signev scored the first goal for Yugra in 3,' and Gerasimov equalized two minutes later. Pigorov scored in 19' and brought Yugra a new lead before half-time. In the second period, Demin scored for the second equalizer, but Davydov put's Yugra in the third lead three minutes later.

Abramov equalized (for the third time) in the same minute, and the same player scored again in 36', for Sinara's first lead. Ponkratov equalized in 44', and Demin got Sinara a victory in 46', however, not high enough to advance to the next round.

Yugra will play against Tyumen in the Finals, who defeated Torpedo 3:0 at the home parquet after the first match ended 3:1 for Torpedo.

Bayrev scored an opener in 24,' and Nevedrov doubled Tyumen's scored in the last minute of the first half (25'). In the second part, Torpedo needed a goal to advance to their first finals, but they failed, and Upalev scored in the last minute of the match (50') for the final result and confirmation of Tyumen's victory.

Gazprom Yugra won four Russian Cups, and they played four more finals. Tyumen never won the Cup, and they played Finals on three occasions.

The final matches will be played in March.
