(HIGHLIGHTS) Sporting and Benfica continue their undefeated run

With equally big victories, both Sporting CP and Benfica have continued their race for first place in the regular season of the Portuguese futsal league. Neither team has yet lost a league match this season, recording 2 draws in the process and 16 victories so far.

Modicus Cartest 1-7 Sporting CP

In a match they dominated from start to finish, victory against fourth-placed Modicus was never in question for Sporting CP. Cardinal opened the scoring for guests in the 8th minute, followed by a goal by Pany Varela.

Modicus managed to hit one back thanks to the effort of Márcio Moreira, but that was everything we saw from the home team in the goal section as Rocha extended the lead once again for Sporting CP just one minute later.

In the second half, with goals by Alex Merlim, Diego Cavinato, Mamadú Ture, and another one by Cardinal, Sporting only confirmed their victory.

Viseu 2001 1-7 SL Benfica

With an equally impressive performance, Benfica won away against third-placed Viseu 2001

Ivan Chishkala opened the scoring in the 3rd minute, followed by goals by Jacaré and Fábio Cecílio to put Benfica in a comfortable lead. Rafa Stocker then softened the blow for Viseu 2001, but with his second goal of the evening, Jacaré eliminated all hope for Viseu 2001.

By the end of the match, Fits scored two goals accompanied by a goal by Robinho for a big Benfica victory.

After facing the third and fourth team of the championship, Benfica and Sporting will play in a few days' time at home against teams from the bottom of the table. Sporting will welcome the bottom last Sanjoanense and Benfica will welcome currently fourteenth Burinhosa.
