The Argentine Football Association has presented a very interesting document titled the Strategic Futsal Plan 2021-2025. This is just another document that commits the AFA to further develop futsal in this country. Not just any country, though, but the country of the current World Champions!

The document was presented by the key figures in the AFA, including its president Claudio Tapia, coach of the national futsal team Matías Lucuix, president of the Futsal and Beach Soccer Commission Jonathan Sanzi, Secretary of the Federal Soccer Council Javier Treuque, and others...
The new strategic document includes guidelines for the growth of futsal in the country. Some areas mentioned are sports excellence, leadership, skills, communication, territorial development, professionalization, sports infrastructure, and international projection.
The document was prepared during 2020 and basically, all futsal stakeholders were included in its creation, from players, staff, referees, to officials, press, etc.
Special emphasis was given to women's futsal where it was mentioned that there is a huge space for further development and the necessity to close the gap in regard to men's futsal.
AFA wants to consolidate itself in the next five years as a leading futsal association in South America and as one of the five futsal reference points in the world.
“It is a special day for this activity and for the entire Argentine Football Association. I congratulate each of the members of the Futsal and Beach Soccer Commission for this successful project, for this activity that is already growing and to continue on this road of national development of futsal”, said the AFA president, Claudio Tapia.
