After defeating Armenia five days ago in Tbilisi, Georgia has done it again and now finds itself in second place in the group with five points ahead of France! Due to the other results in Group 2, Georgia's futsal team now has everything in their hands. If they manage to stay undefeated in their next match against France in April, they will most likely play the playoffs for the UEFA Futsal EURO in the Netherlands.
The match started fantastically for Georgia, with two goals in less than the first 10 minutes of the duel. Goal scorers were Kurtanidze and Bynho.
However, a few minutes later, after a lot of commotion in the penalty area, Armenia's Mashumyan found the back of the net. Teams welcomed the break with Georgia's minimum lead.
Immediately after the whistle in the second half, Nevedrov equalized the match for Armenia and things were leveled.
However, a minute and a half later, famous Elisandro put Georgia back in front, confirming his good form from five days ago. Five minutes before full-time, Armenia employed the flying goalkeeper to have a powerplay advantage.
But it was all in vain. Georgia managed to keep its advantage and took all three points from an important away game to complete the puzzle for UEFA Futsal EURO 2022.
