For the fifth time in a row, but for the first time under the new name, Žalgiris Kaunas is crowned champion of Lithuania!

After their first duel against Jonava Viking finished with a 2:2 draw, both teams had everything to play in the return leg.
And it had started fantastically for the Jonava Viking. In the first half, Jonava Viking took a 4:0 lead, before Žalgiris Kaunas were able to respond with a goal before half-time to give them a fighting chance in the second half.
And then Žalgiris turned things around completely and the second half was all their doing. With three goals in the second half, Žalgiris managed to equalize and the match went into extra-time.
In extra-time, Žalgiris players showed more composure and were able to score two goals to break away a bit, which eventually proved to be enough to lift the Lithuanian futsal league trophy!
Žalgiris will represent Lithuanian futsal in the next season's European campaign.
