What was awaited for a long time and was a matter of some fierce debate, has finally been resolved. The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has decided on the travelers to the FIFA Futsal World Cup in Lithuania.
To remind you, the AFC Asian Cup, which is also a qualifying tournament to the World Cup, has not been played due to the troubles caused by the pandemic.
Three best-ranked teams in the confederation have been sent to the World Cup by the AFC and they are Iran, Japan, and Uzbekistan.
AFC has also decided that Thailand, Vietnam, Lebanon, and Iraq will play a playoff to decide the rest of the travelers.
However, neither the format nor the date of the playoffs has been announced.
