The Spanish LNFS started with its semifinal stage yesterday and Levante UD FS recorded a home victory against Viña Albali Valdepeñas at home, while Barça was successful against Palma Futsal while traveling away. The second semifinal matches are on schedule for 16 June.
Levante UD 6-3 Viña Albali Valdepeñas
Things started on the wrong track for Valdepeñas when their Juanan was forced to concede an own goal to start the match putting Levante in the lead. In 9', however, Matheus Prea equalized the match for Valdepeñas. Nevertheless, in the very next minute, Rafa Usin scored for new Levante's lead.
In the dying seconds of the half, Cainan scored for Valdepeñas, once again equalizing this semifinal duel and the teams went to the break even.
28' proved crucial for Levante as in space of just one minute, Marc Tolra and Pedro Toro scored two goals for Levante to break away from Valdepeñas. But in the very same minute, Valdepeñas' Chino scored to keep his team on track.
Nevertheless, by the end of the match, Pedro Toro scored two more goals to complete his hattrick and to secure the first semifinal victory for Levante UD FS.
Palma Futsal 2-3 Barça
In the second semifinal duel, Barça defeated Palma Futsal while traveling away from home and will get a chance to secure the final stage with a victory in their own venue.
Barça's goalkeeper Didac Plana was the star of the first half when he took one ball for a walk and with a power shot from the right-hand side scored to put his team in front at half-time.
Marcenio extended Barça's lead in the second half in 30', but Raul Campos scored just a few minutes later to finally put Palma Futsal on the board. Palma Futsal efforts were awarded in 37' when Vilela scored an equalizing goal for an exciting finish.
As the match reached full time, the teams took the duel to extra time. Barça's Aicardo goal proved to be crucial as it was the only one in overtime and the one that secured an important away victory for the Barcelona team.
