On the last day of Group B of the European futsal qualifiers for the World Cup, there was no surprise. Spain dominantly defeated hosts Serbia in Niš (5:1) and secured World Cup which they won in 2000. (Guatemala) and 2004 (Chinese Taipei).
Serbia will play against Finland in playoffs (9th and 12th April), and the revial match between France and Ukraine ended as a draw (2:2).
Today we will know the fifth European team (after hosts Lithuania, Russia, Portugal, and Spain) who will play in Futsal Munidal nad fourth team (after Croatia, Finland, and Russia) who will play playoffs.
Hosts Czech Republic is in the best spot before the last leg in which they play against Kazakhstan who can also qualify directly for the World Cup. If Kazakhstan defeats Czech, and if Romania defeats Slovenia, then there will be three teams with 6 points, so the goal-difference would decide about progressing in the next rounds.
