Before the final game of South America's Futsal World Cup qualifiers, that was played in Carlos Barbosa (Brazil), hosts had 21-0 goal-difference and were favourites against the world champions Argentina.
Brazil opened the scoreline with Pito's (plays for Inter Movistar) great scissor-kick goal, but Futsal Gauchos eventually turned the match (3:1) and won the qualifying tournament.
In the third-place match, Paraguay defeated Venezuela (6:2), but all four nations have previously qualified (Venezuela for the first time) for the Futsal World Cup that will be played in Lithuania from 12th September to 4th October 2020.
