Uzbekistan is one of the best futsal teams in Asia. Uzbekistan qualified for the 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup as the third-best ranked team on the continent. World Cup in Lithuania will be their second World Cup appearance after Colombia in 2016. Although Uzbekistan is still waiting for a trophy on the big stage, they were second placed in the Asian Futsal Championship four times. During the recent Futsal Continental Championship, a preparatory tournament for the World Cup, Uzbekistan took home the bronze medal but scored more goals than any other team.
