Executive Board of the Croatia Football Federation relieved Mato Stanković of his duties as the head coach of the Croatia national futsal team. The reason for the dismissal is inadequate results, according to a statement published by CFF.
The new head coach of Croatia futsal national team is Marinko Mavrović, former Stanković's assistant coach.
Mavrović is also the head coach of the Croatian futsal club Futsal Pula (Second Tier) as well as U19 Croatia national team. Mavrović led U19 generation to the second place (silver medal) at the premier U19 Euro that was held in Lithuania in 2019.
According to unofficial sources, the new assistant coach will be 28-year-old Duje Maretić, the head coach of the Croatian champion Olmissum from Omiš.
