European Leagues – Weekend Recap

Due to the UEFA Futsal Champions League Round of 32 that was played on 15 and 16 January, the public's focus was directed to the world's strongest futsal club competition.
Therefore, we are bringing you a full weekend recap of the few of the best European leagues…

Leading team Aqua&Sapone drew against Signor Prestito 6:6 even though they led 6:4 two minutes before the end. Third-placed Came Dosson convincingly defeated Aniene, and Mantova managed to defeat Avellino (5:3) after they fired the previous coach Frane Despotović

Leading teams Sporting and Benfica were busy playing Champions League matches. Therefore, Braga signed the most convincing victory of 8:1 against Belenenses. Third-placed Viseu 2001 drew against Candoso 2:2, and fourth-placed Modicus-Sandim lost against Portimonense 3:6.

In the Russian Superliga, only six matches were played. Two between Ukhta and Tyumen, two between Dynamo Samara and Novaja Generacija and two between Norilsk Nickel and Yekaterinburg Sinara (KPRF and Ugra Yugorsk played Champions League). Tyumen recorded two victories at Ukhta (4:3 and 7:2). In the first match, Norilsk surprised Sinara and won 4:2, but in the second match (again at Norilsk Nickel), the league's leader won 2:1. Dynamo Samara won the first match against Novaja Generacija (4:1), and the second ended with a draw (5:5).

Spanish LNFS has a new leader! Zaragoza managed to defeat Levante 3:2. Palma took that opportunity and with 8:2 win over Burela jumped to the top of the league's table. Inter Movistar (played against Hovocubo in the Futsal Champions League) will play a derby match against ElPozo Murcia on Tuesday, and Barça (played against Prishtina in the Champions League) will play against Ribera Navarra on Wednesday.
