Although by the time of writing of this article we couldn't find any official source that would confirm the news, it seems that the French Football Federation (FFF) is about to remove its support to the national futsal league.
Embarrassing news from France.

The #D1Futsal 🇫🇷 clubs will mobilize to clarify @FFF's choice to no longer support the main league.
The growth of this sport in the country is going very well: the decision of the football federation is disgusting.
Full support from Italy.

This comes as a shock as the development of French futsal in recent years has been impressive and emphasized by futsal pundits all over the world.
>>> Football and sports champions will shortly dominate futsal
Después de Inglaterra, ahora es el turno de Francia. Los futboleros aprovechan la pandemia para pasar a cuchillo al Futsal. La involución continua. https://t.co/mG0ULwK5P2

The futsal community is further shocked by this decision because of the recent actions done by the English FA and their decision to cut all funding to futsal. We sincerely hope that the FFF will not go down the same route.
The French futsal community has already mobilized itself and all of the clubs from the D1 Championnat will publish a joint statement at 18:00 (local time) today.
We will keep you updated.
