FC Barcelona 4(3 - 3)3 Elpozo Murcia
This quarterfinal derby started in the best possible way for Barcelona. ElPozo's Darío tried to clear the ball from his half, but the ball bounced back from Barcelona's Dyego directly into the goal.
A few minutes later, however, Fernando took a run with the ball down Barcelona's defense and placed it with a nice shot behind Dídac to equalize the score.
In the 8th minute, ElPozo's goalkeeper Juanjo got sent off and Espindola took his place on the goal. After the free-kick play immediately after, Ferrao found the back of the net for another Barcelona lead.
But that was not the end of excitement in the first half. After a corner kick on the other side and a bit of lucky rebounding, ElPozo's Alberto García was left alone in front of Dídac - a chance he couldn't miss and ElPozo leveled once again.
At the start of the second half, Ferrao showed a bit of his magic. With his back turned to the goal, he received a ball and executed a great shot from a quick turn to put Barcelona ahead for the third time in this match.
As time passed, ElPozo was searching for the equalizing goal. And they got their chance a few minutes before full time while implementing the flying goalkeeper. Marcel scored after a nice passing play to put things back on the start.
Before full time, Barcelona tried with their own flying goalkeeper but couldn't find the net before the final whistle.
In the drama of penalties, Barcelona managed to pip ElPozo Murcia. Ferrao scored the first penalty for Barcelona, while Paradynski was unable to repeat that for ElPozo, Dídac stopped his shot. Both teams scored all their shots until the final series. First Barcelona's Dyego hit the post, opening a chance for ElPozo to get back in the mix. However, F. Valerio's shot was stopped once again by Dídac who became Barcelona's hero in this quarterfinal duel.
Levante UD FS 2-1 Fútbol Emotion Zaragoza
League leaders Levante pipped playoff hopefuls, Zaragoza, in a close match for the semifinal.
In the opening minutes of the match, both teams had a few scoring opportunities, but it was Zaragoza who scored first. After a quick counter-attack, Dian Luka was given a ball practically on the goal line and he put the ball behind the line for Zaragoza's lead.
Levante then pushed for the equalizing goal and their efforts were rewarded a few minutes later. Marc Tolrà finished a nice passing play with a well-placed shot to level the match.
As the match continued, both teams were again in force trying to score a goal. But it took something extraordinary for that to happen and Levante's players knew exactly what.
Roger got rid of his defender with a nice move before sending a ball to Rafa Usín on the far post for a new Levante goal and the lead in the match.
Understandably, Zaragoza pushed forward for the equalizing goal, trying to find a goal from every position on the court, while Levante tried to extend the lead from counter-attacks.
In the last minutes of the match Zaragoza implemented the flying goalkeeper, but thanks to the fantastic performance by Levante's goalkeeper Fede, Levante remained in front all the way until the end of the match and the semifinals.
Barcelona and Levante will face-off later today (21:00 local time), while the other semifinal duel between Inter and Cartagena is on schedule at 13:00 local time.
