Italian futsal Seria A playoffs start

It's playoff time in Italy! One of the best European futsal leagues reached its playoff stage and the first batch of three quarterfinal matches have been played. The fourth match in the series between Padova and Feldi Ebola was postponed due to Covid reasons.

Italservice Pesaro, the team with the number 1 seed in this playoffs, faced Signor Prestito CMB Matera in the first leg. Pesaro proved its worth with a commanding 5-2 victory. Cristian Boruto and Mauro Canal scored two goals, with Leandro Cuzzolino adding one. Andrès Santos and Gomes Da Silva Wilde scored consolation goals for CMB just before full time.

We saw a whopping 13 goals in the match between Came Dosson and Sandro Abate Avellino, with Came Dosson securing the first victory in the series with an 8-5 result. Thiago Grippi scored a hat-trick, while Matheus Dener, Arlan Pablo Vieira, Edgar Rocha Bertoni, Gabriele Ugherani, and Murilo Schiochet all scored a goal each. On the other side, Andrè Fantcele and Eduardo Dalcin scored two goals each with Manoel Crema adding one, but it was ultimately not enough for Avellino.

In the last quarterfinal match, Acqua&Sapone Unigros recorded a clean 7-0 victory against Meta Catania Bricocity. Guilherme Gaio Gui and Eduardo Alano Farias Dudo scored two, with Lukaian Baptista, Murilo Ferreira Juliao and Rafael Rizzi Rafinha adding a goal each.
