Dear futsal enthusiasts,
2020, one of the strangest years in our lives, by all means, is coming to an end. At the beginning of the year, 2020 looked as it would be one of the richest futsal years in history.
Everything started great with the African Cup of Nations in January, the European World Cup Elite Round Qualifying in February, and the South American Futsal World Cup Qualifying tournament in Brazil. Asian and North American futsal championships were just around a corner, just like the Final Four UEFA Champions League tournament in Minsk. And the culmination of 2020 should have taken place in Lithuania from 12 September until 4 November for the FIFA Futsal World Cup.
However, everything stopped in February. The reason is the global pandemic of the virus that causes COVID-19 disease. Some European national championships ended up in the "truncated" form, 2019/20 Champions League playoff was played in October, and European playoffs for the World Cup in November. Asian and North American championships will take place in 2021.

To not interfere in Futsal Planet's Annual Awards for best players, teams, and coaches, we do not choose the best player in 2020., but the best players in 2020 in every position (and one coach)!
The concept is simple… the futsal profession has chosen the top 6 futsal names on every position (goalkeepers, defenders, left wings, right wings, pivots, and coaches). You, our dear readers and futsal enthusiasts, will choose the best among them in our pool.
The player who gets the most votes in every position will become part of FutsalFeed's best team in 2020.
Apologies to Women and Young Players
We want to apologize to women and young players for not including them in this year's competition since only a small sample of matches in both women and youth competitions have taken place this year.
But we promise that in the coming years, starting in 2021, we will select the best female and young players as well.
