GROUP D: VIETNAM (FIFA FUTSAL WORLD CUP)

The Vietnam national futsal team qualified for its second FIFA Futsal World Cup after Colombia 2016. Because AFC qualifiers were played in a different format due to Covid-19, Vietnam played just two playoff matches against Lebanon. Both matches ended in a draw, but because Vietnam scored a goal in a draw where they were officially visitors, Vietnam qualified for the Futsal World Cup on an away goal rule. The team lead by Minh Giang started their preparation cycle for Futsal Mundial and they will play friendly matches against other World Cup teams such as Japan, Guatemala, Spain, and Morocco before touching down in Lithuania.
