As the Brazilian futsal season kicked off, Joaçaba recorded an opening victory against Jaraguá at home, while Carlos Barbosa defeated Atlântico away from home.

Joaçaba 3-2 Jaraguá

After a goalless, but always interesting first half, second half started with a proper bang. Yan opened the scoring for Joaçaba 30 seconds after the start of the half. Just one minute later, Torres equalized with a well-placed shot. 

But Ernesto and Yan with his second goal of the evening put Joaçaba two goals ahead. Pett managed to soften the blow for Jaraguá, but Joaçaba recorded three points at the season opener.

Atlântico 0-3 Carlos Barbosa

Atlântico was unable to stop ACBF from taking all three points from their home in the season opener. Pedro Rei opened the scoring for the visitors in the 15 minute of the match.

ACBF's victory was only confirmed in the second half thanks to goals by Dener and Richard.
