Spain: Burela retains its First Division status

In the playout stage of the Spanish LNFS, Burela FS faced off against El Ejido Futsal for a place in the First Division next season. Burela played this duel because they have finished 15th in the regular season stage, while Ejido lost the Second Division playoff final, but was given another chance. However, after two matches between these two, Burela retained its First Division status.

In the first match, Burela celebrated a 3-2 away victory against a motivated host. Quintela, Javi Rodriguez, and Matamoros scored in the first half for Burela's lead. In the second half, Alex Motos scored two goals for Ejido but that was all they managed to scrape from this match.

Second match, at Burela's venue, started well for El Ejido Futsal. Cortes scored for the visiting team's lead. However, just by half-time, Burela was up ahead 5-1. Iago Miguez scored a hat-trick and was joined on the scoresheet by Quintela and Renato.

Nacho Gil softened the blow for Ejido after the restart, but nevertheless, Renato, Alex Diz, and Quintela scored for the confirmation of the victory and First Division status.
